Hardware MPEG encoders are now becoming established in the consumer PC marketplace and many of our non-linear editing systems will perform some sort of MPEG encoding. However, there are very few dedicated MPEG I & II capture cards with professional video inputs. MPEGProfiler is the ideal solution for taking the workload MPEG encoding & DVD/Multimedia authoring off your main edit suite.

The MPEGProfiler from VITEC features Y/U/V (Component), Y/C (S-Video) & Composite video inputs suitable for capturing from professional sources including BetacamSP, Digital-S & Digital Betacam. The unit is competitively priced and includes "DVD Toolbox" for basic MPEG editing software.

Batch encoding support with V-Lan device control for professional VTR's is available as an option for MPEGProfiler.
